コマーシャルフォトスタジオ、スタジオギブ大江徹氏に師事後、宝塚歌劇団写真室を経て渡英。2年半のロンドン在住。
帰国後、柴田謙司写真事務所設立。
現在東京、大阪の二都市で、活動中。
広告、ファッションカタログ等の商業写真だけでなくファインアート作品も精力的に制作。
